New Age of PC Games- World of Warcraft
World of Warcraft is by far the biggest MMORPG (Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game) in the world today. It took developers until November 23, 2004 to release an online multiplayer game of this size. The game takes place in a massive 3D, seamless world that is beautiful. Each player creates a character from many different races and power classes. Players explore, perform quests, and battle enemies and other players. World of Warcraft was influenced by the original Warcraft games that is a real-time strategy game, like Halo Wars from 2009.
Players communicate with each other with a headset or by typing messages to each other. Most messages are public, but players can "whisper" to each other so only they can see the message. Players can gain experience levels and learn new abilities while going on quests alone, or as a group with other online players. The game prides itself on the simplistic, user-friendly controls and aspects of play. Players can walk, run, or fly to other places called "realms" that are hosts to up to thousands of other users at one time. The interactivity between players is unmatched. Players see and hear each other's characters in real time.
Expansion Packs are released around once a year. They fly off the shelves just as fast as any other games that are released today. Each pack allows players to reach even higher levels, perform new quests, visit different realms, and still enjoy the second world they live in. There are some people who play countless hours of World of Warcraft and still cannot get enough of it. The video below on World of Warcraft gameplay shows the beginnings of the game and creating a character to use in the game.
